Finally got my slr today been playing with it since it was unboxed and im in love all over again haha.

All pictures uploaded from now will be from my new Canon EOS 1000D unless stated otherwise

Finally getting my slr camera, after a few looks on some of the popular ones for beginners i have chosen the Canon EOS 1000D which should be arriving in a few days! Cant wait to get some photos out of it and put them up here

My name is Vicky and I am 19 years old. I'm a complete amateur at photography so please excuse some of the bad photos. I use my Samsung S1075 for all the photos uploaded here which i bought in March 2009. As i am a beginner i am starting with a project called the 365 day project, where i take a different picture each day to develop my skill, these can be seen as well as other photos in my gallery.

I am currently doing a Foundation Degree in Business Computing, which i am enjoying, but am not quite sure if i want to follow on with a career in this.

You will possibly note that im more into flowers and animals at the moment as im finding these the easiest to get good photos of so my work will be rather limited to begin with.

I have four cats living in my house (two are mine the other two belong to my mum and brother) so you will notice i will be taking a lot of photos of them too. Much to their annoyance haha.
